Frosty Wreath

So after my stampers left today, and I had all my stuff laying out...I decided to whip up one more wreath card. This time, I changed up the colors to make it more wintery.

I used Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon and Smokey Slate.

I used the framelits to cut out the wreath of course. But I also used the Snowflake Card Thinlit Die Cuts for the "Brrrr" witth the silver glimmer paper.  See the snowflakes on the wreath? Yup, that die comes in that set, too! :)

The sentiment at the bottom, "Baby it's cold outside" is from the Project Life stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. Such a cute assortment of stamps! I have been anxious to ink them up!

Hello Friends...and Happy Weekend!

Was it just me, or was this week the LONGEST ever? So happy to have the weekend upon us!

And to start my weekend out right, I am welcoming a group of my Club Members to my studio this morning. We are making 6 cards (3 designs, 2 of each).

I wanted to share with you the pictures of the cards we are making today. So fun! All supplies can by found in the Holiday Catalog.

And you see that cute red card with the Festival of Trees set? I shamelessly cased that one from my good friend Kimberly VanDiepen. She is a Stamper Extraordinaire!

I love to welcome guests to our monthly club meetings. If you ever want to join us please just drop me an email. Guests have the choice of placing a $30 order, or paying a $12 material fee.

Have an awesome weekend and enjoy the fall weather!

Wondrous Wreath

One of the first stamp sets that caught my eye in the Holiday Catalog was the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and Framelit Die Cuts. There is SO much you can do with this set - I have seen tons of adorable samples all over Pinterest. Some are Autumn Wreaths, Halloween, Christmas...even Spring!
Such a versatile set!

I am in the stamp room getting prepped for this months Christmas Card Club. I wanted to use this set, but I wanted it to be a quick and easy card since we have a lot of guests attending this month. So, I opted to not use the framelits to cut out the wreath this time...just some simple stamping.

The wreath is actually 3 layers. The first layer is the Crumb Cake Ink, then the Soft Suede, and the berries are the 3rd layer stamped in Cherry Cobbler. And the best part is that Stampin' Up! added little tabs on each of the stamps so it is easy-peasy to line up! This card took no more than 10 minutes to put together. Perfect!

One tip on the the gold JOY. I used the Stampin Up! Gold Foil Sheets. When cutting out words with framelits, put a layer of wax paper between the card stock and the framelit. That sucker will pop out much easier and no worries about it ripping. :)

Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies

Hello Stampers -

I am busy getting prepped for this months Club meetings. I am in LOVE with the new Snowflake Thinlit Die Cut in the Holiday Catalog. It makes the most beautiful interactive card!

This one little die doe ALL this! It scores, it cuts, and makes the snowflake in the center!
The Letterpress Winter Stamp Set coordinates perfectly with this set. So once the snowflake is cut out, I inked up the large snowflake stamp in Lost Lagoon ink, and stamped it right on the snowflake. I then cut out a smaller snowflake (several dies come with the this set) out of Silver Paper, and layered it in the center. I finished it off with the Frosted Sequins on each tip.

In this card I've added a Belly Band to keep the card closed. But when you remove the Belly Band....fun happens!

This is sort of a movement picture to hopefully five you an idea of how this die cut works.

And this is the backside, where I stamped a little sentiment. Adorable, right? You should see it in person!

This is one of the cards my Stamp Club is making this month! I hope they love it as much as I do.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card:
