SCRAPBOOK SUNDAY!

Hey Stampers -

This Sunday, Feb 13th, is Scrapbook Sunday! I have 2 open seats for class at 2 PM. You will make two 12x12 Double Page Layouts.

One is a birthday theme, the other is a general theme.

Class fee is $25. Please bring adhesive and scissors.

Here are the layouts!

There are some really cool and FUN elements on these pages! This uses the Celebrations Designer Paper which is perfect for birthdays because it's nice and bright!

Here are a few of the elements -

The Wish Big Medallion is from the Word Play Stamp Set. It's backed with a scallop circle punched from the Red Glitter paper.

This adorable envelope is made with the bitty envelope die and the Big Shot. Super cute!

The second layout is a more generalized theme. It uses the new Vintage Springtime Designer Paper.

I love the colors in this paper...Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake.

Here are a few closer looks at some of the elements:

This is a pocket made from Crumb Cake cardstock - it was embossed with the Finial Press Embossing Folder, the sanded and inked. There are 2 kinds of ribbon across the middle...baja breeze seam binding, and Victorial Lace. Did you notice the vintage safety pink with the Love Life tag on it? Cute! The tag pulls out for journaling, or more pictures - - - your choice!

This flower is gorgeous and adds such dimension and texture to the layout....and of course it was created with a Big Shot die. I don't know how I lived without the Big Shot before! I love the Baja Breeze corderoy button in the center - perfect coordination!

The last piece I was want to share is the Remember When tag. It's stamped and sponged to give it an aged look and the Baja Breeze Ribbon is attached with a Filigree Brad.

There are so many embellishments of these pages - you are getting to use lots of really cool accessories!

Remember there are only 2 open seats....email me if you want a spot!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cobbler BLISS

Have you seen the free selections in the Sale-A-Bration brochure? So many fun things to choose from! My favorite is the Bliss Stamp Set. I love the flourish image - it's antique and elegant!

I whipped up a quick card last night before bed...and when I think of BLISS, I think of many things...but in color, I think of Cherry Cobbler. :)

This card came together in less than 10 minutes. Super quick but I love it!

The layer is Crumb Cake, and I stamped the flourish and the small flower in Crumb Cake ink. The main image was inked and stamped in Soft Suede. The butterfly was inked in Cherry Cobbler, stamped on Whisper White and cut out. I attached it with a dimensional, and added a pearl to the center (can you even see it? LOL).

The ribbon is the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon, and I scrunched it up and adhered it down. Love that technique with ribbon. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

My new love...Build-A-Blossom...

I tried. I really did.

I tried to resist purchasing the Build-A-Blossom set in the mini (and the coordinating punch.
In fact, I held out for a whole 2 months!
But in my desperation, I had a major moment of weakness, and I ordered it ALL!

And now I am asking myself why I waited so LONG! LOL.
There are so many beautiful samples with this set, and I finally sat down to play with it today.
I had a blast stamping and punching out the petals and leaves.
I love the dimension that it gives to the card. Awesome!

Here is my first card with this set (and I am sure many more will follow!)

The card base is Early Espresso, the layer is Crumb Cake that was embossed with the tulip border for the Big Shot. I sponged the edges lightly with Early Espresso Ink.
Across the center is a piece of the Victoria Lace Ribbon.
The petals were stamped with Pink Pirouette ink on Pink Pirouette Cardstock then punched out with the blossoms punch. The leaves are Pear Pizzazz ink stamped on Whisper White cardstock.

I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the top petals, and curled them up a little to add more dimension. The center has a Vanilla Satin Rosette. So pretty!

The "friend" sentiment is from the "You're A Gem" stamp set.

This card is for my stamp clubs this month! I hope they like it. It's a super fun card to make!
Thanks for stopping by today, have a great week!

Nature Walk

Hello Stampers -

Last Sunday I had a Stamp Camp here at my house. The attendees made 4 cards using all new materials from the Occasions Mini Catalog. While everyone loved all of the projects, this card made from the Nature Walk stamp set was hands down everyone's favorite!

Excuse the yellow tint...not sure what's up with that- but I am too lazy to go back and correct it right now. LOL.

Anyhow...the base is Baja Breeze, layered with a piece of Very Vanilla that had been run through the Big Shot using the Tulip Border Embossing Folder (LOVE how it frames the image!). The center is a piece of Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper. The stamped image uses Soft Suede and Baja Breeze markers. Then we tied a piece of the Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon in a bow and attached it with a Vintage Brad.

This would be beautiful for Mothers Day, Birthday or even Sympathy. It's a very elegant, vintage looking card.

I hope you are all doing well with all this snow. Ed has been on the roof all week getting rid of the ice and snow. What a royal pain! I am so ready for a warm beach and flip flops!
Enjoy your weekend - thanks for stopping by!
