MDS BLOG HOP FRIDAY

I can't believe it's Friday again! I was not at all prepared this week, and I was in shock when I realized today is Friday and I don't have a project to share (bowing head in shame).

Please continue on the hop and check out what the other ladies have done for you this week!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Sunday!

Hello Stampin' Friends,

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather we are having today! Hard to believe it's February! No complaints from me! :)

I had my first Stamp Camp yesterday since the holidays. I know, I know...it took me long enough! But it was great to be back in the swing of things again. I had a houseful of happy stampers and we had a great afternoon together playing with all sorts of new goodies from the Occasions Mini and the Sale-A-Bration brochures.

Here is a card I actually wasn't sure about when I made it. But they loved it! It's not a new stamp set (Pennant Parade) but the papers are new.

The cardstock is Whisper White, and the top layer is Lucky Limeaid embossed with Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. The bottom strip paper is from the SAB selection Everyday Enchantment. We used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border for the strip across the middle.

The cone is made from the Pennant Parade stamp and we used the coordinating punch. For the ice cream we used the Cupcake Punch. Cute!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying your day!
Now go stamp something! :)

MDS Blog HOP FRIDAY

Welcome Back!

This weeks theme is to use the digital images that are included on the Sale-A-Bration CD! If you don't know what that means, let me enlighten you...

Sale-A-Bration is Stampin' Up!'s biggest sale of the year. When you  make a purchase of $50 you earn a FREE reward....stamps, paper, ribbons, or....drumroll please.....a Digital CD with ALL of the Sale-A-Bration Selections! WOW!

And if you haven't seen the offerings this year, you are missing out. The papers are gorgeous, and the stamps and accessories coordinate beautifully.

Here is my project -

The background color is Pool Party, and that delicious designer paper is Everyday Enchantment. It's so pretty! I am so drawn to the Poppy Parade color. I once again used the Vintage Overlay stamp in Soft Suede to shabby it up a little. :) The stamp in the lower right corner is called Fresh Vintage. I changed it to Very Vanilla and dragged the opacity down to soften the look.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to visit all my blog buddies and check out their fabulous projects!

MDS Blog HOP FRIDAY

Hello Friends!

Welcome to another edition of MDS Blog Hop Friday! This weeks theme is to use a Designer Template! I hope I followed instructions correctly! LOL. It's late when I am posting this, and I am not my sharpest at this hour. :)

One of the BEST things about MDS is the Designer Templates! If you are new to MDS, this is the fastest way to build a page or album. All the work is done for you by Stampin' Up! All you have to do is drop your pictures in! And of course, any of the elements on a Designer Template can be altered, changed, or even deleted if you don't like it.

I started with one of the templates called Hip and Handsome Overlays. This is a 12x12 Designer Template. Here is what it looks like.

It's a FUN bright template, but not my cup of tea for the picture I wanted to use.

I changed the paper and added some different elements. Here is the same template with my changes.

My page uses the new download kit, Twitterpatted. Love this kit and it's gorgeous papers! So fresh and springy! I added a vintage overlay stamp in Soft Suede (notice the sponged look around the edges?). It is a quick and easy way to get the sponged look digitally. Now the page has a vintage feel and matches the tone of the sepia in the photograph.

I added some buttons and stitching in the coordinating colors (also part of the Twitterpatted Digital Kit) and some stitching. Honestly, it took me about 15 minutes on this page. I thought about adding more elements, but I love the picture and wanted it to be the focus. So I left it alone.

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you continue on the Blog Hop to see what the other ladies have in store for you this week.

To purchase the Twitterpatted Digital Kit and receive the Preferred Pricing, please visit my online store!

Have a great weekend,

MDS Blog HOP FIRDAY!

Happy Friday All!

I am afraid that the bug has hit our house, and I have been SICK! I wasn't able to create an new project this week but I do have something to share that I created a few months ago.

This weeks theme is LOVE....Valentines Day. And when I think of LOVE I think of my babies. Well they are not babies anymore. But I love this picture of them!

This picture warms my heart. I can't believe how fast time flies, and that my daughter is a Sophomore in HS.. She was just 5 in this picture, Sigh.

Please be sure to visit all the other fabulous ladies on our blog hop. I am sure they will have lots of awesome things to share with you today.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
