Hello Friends -

Sorry for missing last week. I took a nasty fall and had sprained my hand, thus no computer time for me. This weeks challenge is a sketch. Here is the layout we were to use for inspiration:

This sketch was really a challenge for me! I tend to use one or two pictures on a layout, so to have 8 really stretched me out of my comfort zone! :) I played around with it for quite awhile, and each revision brought on a new look.

Here is my completed page:

I've used a couple different digital kits on this page. The background paper is from Tickets and Tags, as well as the tags and labels. The borders are actually using the Digital Tape in Basic Gray. The "Best Day Ever " Ticket and "Love this" arrow are from the "Keep This Memory" kit, which is so great for vacation pictures or special trips. It has lots of fun elements. I used it on our Disney Cruise digital book, and I was so happy with it.

The crumpled paper look is actually a digital overlay. They are SO fun for adding texture or background to your paper. I use them A LOT. This particular one is from the Natural Composition Overlay set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Please continue on the hop and check out what the other ladies have in store for you!

Have a great weekend!

MDS Blog Hop Friday

Hello All -

Welcome back to our weekly hop!

This weeks theme was to create a page from your childhood. Hmmm....Well, to be honest, I don't have ANY pictures from my childhood at my house. I think my Momma or my Grandmother have all those oldies. So, I apologize, but I have broken the theme this week! You're probably better off...those pictures are real dinosaurs. ;-)

So, I decided to post a page that is one of my most FAVORITE pictures in the world. I love my hubby and my dog and was so thrilled to catch them deep in thought.

There was probably a squirrel out there or something. That always seems to catch Bella's attention. :)

The background is Crumb Cake with a vintage overlay in Soft Suede. I think I use that download the  most. I just love it! The papers are from the 2011 Notable Desktop Calendar Kit. I also used LOTS of stitching on this page, White and Chocolate. So many fun stitches to select from in the Staple and Stitches kit!

Be sure to continue on the hop and see what the other gals have come up with this week!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

MDS Blog Hop Friday - Holidays

Hello Friends, Sorry I am posting so late this morning! I am looking for my mo-jo and I can't seem to find it! Some days are like that...a creative block, struggling to get a page together. Some days, they just come together so easy. Other days, everything I touch seems lousy. Today is one of those days! I decided I just needed to be done with it! LOL Do you ever feel like that? Please tell me I am not alone! Today's theme was Here come the HOlidays! That is pretty wide open...could be Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukah ...lots to choose from! I went with Christmas, because that is what I could get my hands on this morning. :) Here is my page:
The Designer Paper is Holiday Harmony II. I love that it has a vintage look to it. Christmas is so not just your red and green anymore. The tags are from Very Merry kit, and they coordinate great with the DSP. Thanks for stopping by today. I am sure the other ladies have some awesome things to share this week, so make sure to visit them all! Have a great weekend!

Hello Friends....

This weeks theme was picked by my good pal, Ms. Kimberly VanDiepen. Seriously, I am so glad this gal joined our hop. She has MAD talent. And this week, she picked CIRCLES.

This was a great theme...because I seriously don't use them enough. All my pages are squares or rectangles. Boring!  :)

So I poking around on Pinterest (come follow me!)  and saw several really great layouts with circles. I loved this layout because I could get a ton of pictures on one page. And I added some tags and buttons for fun. Lots of circles!

Here is my page:

(Click layout for larger view)

I chose some BRIGHT colors, because it was a summer trip. The background is Primrose Petal, and the layer is Peach Parfait.

Did you know that there is this cool new feature that selects color combinations for you on MDS 2?
So, you pick a color, and then click on Color Combos, and whamo, it spits out 4 other colors that coordinate! How cool is that? That is how I picked these colors....Primrose Petal, Peach Parfait, Midnight Muse and Daffodil Delight. Cool, right? Give it a may discover combinations that you never thought would go together!

And lets not forget the Mickey Mouse...again, circle punches! So easy, and so cute!

Now don't forget that all this week is the Digital Scrapbooking Week!

There are 3 FREE DOWNLOADS for you, and 50% OFF ALL Digital Kits! WOO HOO!
You can score some SWEET kits for making holiday cards, gift tags and more, for $5 and less!

Now, make sure to visit all the other ladies and check out their circles this week!

I love this weeks theme! Owls, or fun! And Stampin' Up! has so many fun wonderful digital stamps and punches to fit the theme!

I adore the Owl punch we have. So many cute things have been made with this punch. I decided to make my Owl a Halloween Owl. Perfect for the upcoming holiday!

I actually saw a super cute card that fellow demonstrator, Anne Marie Hille,  had made with the actual punch (not digital but using actual paper). I decided to CASE her card and recreate it digitally.

Here is my card:

I used the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper, along with the Owl and the Bitty Bat Punch.
The little trick or treat bag comes from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set.

This card size is 5 x 7....nice and BIG. :)

Thanks for stopping by today. Sorry the post is so short today. It's been such a hectic week, that I am actually amazed I got this done! LOL

Be sure to visit the other ladies on the hop and check out their creations!
Have a great weekend,

Welcome back! Happy Friday to all!

This weeks theme was to be inspired by the person after us in the blog line up. Ms. Aly is right behind me. This was no easy task as she has some wonderful inspiration on her blog. I went back through her blog a few times to narrow it down. I finally decided on this one:

I love the placement of the photographs, and the pop of color in the DSP behind them. What sweet pictures these are! Look how happy she looks holding that bundle of joy! :) LOVE!

Ok, so my page isn't nearly as sweet as those baby pictures. But I had fun with it.

I used pictures from our Disney Cruise. This was the Pirate night, and it was a blast! I used a Crumb Cake Background, with a Vintage Overlay in black. I thought it made the page look weathered and almost burned on the edges. The DSP is from the Ahoy, Matey! Digital Kit.

Thanks for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what the other ladies have come up with - so be sure to continue on the hop!

Have a great weekend....

MDS Blog Hop Friday

Hello Friends,

Welcome back to another exciting round of MDS Friday Blog Hop! I have a confession....I didn't stick with the theme this week. Shame on me! I have seemed to misplaced my digital mo-jo this week.  I hate when that happens. I started several pages, and just couldn't get it together. Deep sigh...
sometimes you just gotta roll with it. :)

Here is my page. It's my cute little man of his first day of school. I used the Back to School kit which has lots of great digital papers, and embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by this week. I hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying some wonderful fall weather.

Be sure to visit the other ladies to see what they have for you this week.

MDS Blog Hop Friday - Halloween!

Hello Friends,

It was my week to select the theme, and I chose Halloween! Anything Halloween goes....
and since we have such fun digital content for this holiday, we have lots of choices!

I chose to make a page with my little munchkins from several years back.

Here is my page:

This is a really clean, simple layout (which I love).

I used Crumb Cake for the background paper, and colored a pennant in Old Olive and Basic Black to tie in with the small pieces of DSP that I used. The Designer Paper is called Wicked Fun.

I also used the splatter tool, and a the Vintage Overlay to make it look sponged.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure you continue on the hop and see what the other ladies have for you!

Have a great weekend!

MDS Blog Hop Friday!

Hello Friends,

So sorry to have missed last weeks blog hop. I am actually STILL not feeling well and finally dragged myself to the doctor. Seems I have bronchitis (so they think). The cough is the worst! So I have an inhaler and some strong cough medicine. Lets hope that helps! Sheesh!

Anyway, the reason you are here is to see some digital goodness! What a fun challenge this case a layout found on Pinterest! I LOVE Pinterest! I get lots of great ideas there. The hard part was selecting just one.

Here is the link to the layout I cased.

And here is my page:

There is a lot of mish mash on this page. I started with crumb cake cardstock and then added a textured overlay to give the paper the crumpled look. Then I added some squares of patterned paper in Crumb Cake and Pool Party.  The photo frames are from the Downtown Grunge Kit. I used a few tickets from the Keep This Memory Kit also. So, a little of this, a little of that.

This was a great day on our recent cruise. We loved the beautiful waters in Mexico. Costa Maya wasn't all that great as destination, but the waters were lovely.

Thank you for stopping by today! Please continue on the hop to see what the other ladies have prepared for you!

Have a great weekend!
