More Elements of Style

Someone stop me...I can't seem to put this stamp set down! I need a 12 step program for this Summer Mini Catalog (LOL!). Just wait until I get started on the Sweet Scoops Set! :0)

Here is another Elements of Style Card. I love the vintage feel of this one. It's sort of antique looking with just Pretty in Pink on the flowers.

The card base is Soft Suede (so happy that it is sticking around as a permanent addition to our color palette!). I then inked the En Francais Background Stamp in Sahara Sand and lightly stamped it on the Very Vanilla Layer. I inked the main flower image in Soft Suede and stamped it on the Vanilla layer, then colored it in with Pretty in Pink and Old Olive Classic Ink Pads and a blender pen.

I added a touch of 2 way glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the flowers, tore the corner off and sponged it all with Soft Suede. I inked the swirl image in the stamp set in Soft Suede and stamped it in the lower left corner of the Soft Suede card base. It gives a wonderful tone-on-tone look to the project.

To finish it off, I tied it all up with our luxurious Vanilla Satin Ribbon.

I hope these new samples are sparking your creativity! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Sweet Scoops!

It's Memorial Day Weekend - the official start to Summer! What better way to start off summer than with a yummy Ice Cream Cone?

The New Stamp Set, Sweet Scoops, is perfect for summer birthdays, party invitations, or a gift card to Friendly's, Cold Stone Creamery, or Dairy Queen!

I was inspired by another card I saw - - - it just made me think of sherbet! I paired this set with the Island Oasis Paper.

If this doesn't make you think of summer, flip flops, and melting ice cream running down your arm...then I don't know what will! :)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and take some time to get yourself an ice cream cone. :)

Simple and Elegant Elements of Style

Elements of Style is (I think!) my favorite stamp set in the Summer Mini. It's so elegant and no matter what you do with it, it's gorgeous.

I saw a card similar to this on another Demonstrators Blog, and I just loved it. It's clean, simple and you don't need anything else. It is just so pretty!

I used Very Vanilla cardstock for the card base. I then ran Vanilla Cardstock through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Butterflies Die Cut. Then I inked the Stamp with Stazon Jet Black, and stamped on the die cut butterflies. I colored them in using Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Old Olive Classic Ink Pads with a Blender Pen. I popped them up on Stampin' Dimensionals and added the greeting underneath.

Simple and easy!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a great weekend ~

Holey Moley - - - it's a HOT ONE!

WOW! Gotta love New England. You wake up one day, and BAM! it's 98 degrees! WOW! No complaints here though...happy for the summer weather to be upon us. Poor Bella was huffing and puffing during our walk this morning. So, I guess I will need to get her out before 7 AM on those hot days!

So, keeping with the whole summer theme...I wanted to share another Tropical Party Card. This class filled up so fast! So, I am also offering a KIT TO GO Option. You get all the material pre cut, with the stamp set, and step by step instructions. You can then assemble at home at your convenience. If this is something you are interested in, please email me at Stamp4joy@comcast.net

So, doesn't this make you want to just chill out in a hammock on a beach somewhere and suck down a couple of tropical beverages? Just don't drink too fast or you might get brain freeze! :)

All images here are from the Tropical Party Stamp Set. The greeting is actually from CHEERS TO YOU stamp set. No Designer Paper on this one...just Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. I don't know if you can tell, but the coconut drink is cut out and popped up on dimensionals. Super Cute!

I hope you are all having a great day. Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the long weekend!

Weekend Recap

What a wonderful weekend I had!

Saturday I attended a Demonstrator Gathering in Springfield with some of the wonderful gals in my group. We learned some savvy business tips, cool techniques, and of course, got to stamp! I love spending time with these ladies. They are wonderful women and friends. Just one of the many blessings of being associated with Stampin' Up! :-)

Here is a picture of our group -

After I got back from Springfield I headed over to Farmington High School where Relay for Life was going on. My daughter, Emily, was on a team from Irving A. Robbins Middle School. I had never attended before, but I had volunteered to be a chaperon. I was amazed at the number of people that turned out! Tents and campers everywhere (as this is a 24 hour event and teams walk all night!), along with a DJ playing music, food, and lots of fellowship. I started walking when I got there, and I was happy to be there when the most significant part of the Relay began - which was the survivors walk, the lighting of the luminaries and torches, and the silent walks in remembrance of those who have lost their battle with cancer. This was a very spiritual event, and I was moved to tears many times throughout the event.

I was very proud of my daughter and her team. They truly understood the meaning and the reason behind relay, and their dedication was heartwarming.

Here is a picture of me and Emily from the event. The event was a HUGE success, as over $201,000.00 was raised for the American Cancer Society. That is double what was raised just a year ago. WOW!
I encourage you all to check it out next year. What an amazing event for a very worthwhile cause.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day ~

WATERCOLOR TRIO CLASS

Did you get your copy of the Summer Mini Catalog in the mail? WOW! What a spectacular selection of stamps and accessories!

I am excited to bring you a New Class in June featuring the Watercolor Trio Stamp Set.
I just love any set that makes it look like you spent hours water coloring the images, when in reality it was just a quick dip in the ol' stamp pad. This set lives up to that, and more.

In this class you will make a beautiful box tied up with our gorgeous Vanilla Satin Ribbon. It is so luxurious and high quality. You won't find better ribbon anywhere.
Check out the box:

Inside are 4 beautiful cards in Kraft, Vanilla and Not Quite Navy (a few use the Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper). Here are the 4 cards:

We'll also use some new punches and the Big Shot to add a few butterflies to the cards and the box.

Here is the complete ensemble:

Here are the class details:

Two dates to choose from:

Sunday June 13th @ 2 PM
or
Saturday June 19th @ 2 PM

The stamp set is yours to keep! You get to choose Wood Mount or Clear Mount (please bring clear blocks, or let me know if you need to order them and I will give you the cost).

Wood Mount: $36.00

Clear Mount: $30.00

Just in time for Mother's Day!

Warmer of the Month: Nature's Haven.

Welcome the sweetness of spring finches with Nature’s Haven. A creamy base with a low-sheen finish is embossed with newly budding branches, delicate leaves and gracefully poised birds that encircle the base. Awash with pastel tones of pale green, yellow and fawn, this hand-painted spring scene has the appearance of watercolors.

Sitting atop the base, a cleverly designed dish shaped like a nest is visited by a single finch, ready to alight – or perhaps take flight. Perfect for family rooms, master bedrooms or baths, Nature’s Haven invites spring into your home in the most cheerful way.

Scent of the Month: Clarity

Awaken the senses and uplift the spirit with this invigorating blend of rosemary, thyme, citron leaves, and freshly squeezed lemon. Clarity brings back memories of dewy herb gardens on bright May mornings.

The Natures Haven and Clarity Scent are 10% OFF for the Month of May!
