New Stampin' Friends

I think one of the things I love most about being a demonstrator is meeting new stamping friends. I love to see how excited people get when they think they aren't crafty or "can't" do this. They make a card, and their face lights up! This brings me to some new stamping friends I met over the weekend!

Melissa, who is a member of my monthly card club, hosted a workshop at her home on Saturday. She invited lots of new friends who had never stamped before. What a FUN group of ladies!

Geri and Kathy were a riot! They were like Lucy and Ethel. Geri in particular seemed to be doing everything she could to avoid stamping. But she did make her cards, and she had fun! I told her we were unleashing her creativity!

Here is a picture of them with their hand stamped creations! Don't they look proud? :-)
In fact, everyone had fun and did such a wonderful job that they have decided to start their own Card Club in September! I am excited to get to know these gals better and stamp with them!

Thanks for coming to the workshop ladies! I had a great time!

Beach Day Layout

This is one of the layouts from my monthly scrapbooking club. June was our final meeting. Clubs will start up again in August. If you are interested in joining a card or scrapbook club, please contact me as space is limited.

We used the Seaside Stamp Set (which sadly is retiring with this catalog) and stamped the background in versamark. Then we embossed some shells on Confetti White cardstock and used the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and the Aqua Painters to color them in. My club members loved the crayons and the coloring! The crayons are very soft and blend so easily. It is fun to color and makes you feel like an artist! :)

We cut out the shells and layered them around the photo mats. The title is made using the Serif Alphabet die cut letters and the Big Shot. We sponged Creamy Caramel ink on the letters to give it a beachy look...and also ran the twill ribbon through the Creamy Caramel ink. It gives it an aged look, which I love.

If you are a scrapbooker and want to join a club to make layouts each month, please contact me soon! The next round of clubs will begin in August and run through December.
Thanks for stopping by..now go stamp something! :-)

Big Bold Birthday

Here is another one of my "go to" sets that is retiring. This one is Big, Bold Birthday. I mean, who doesn't love a pink and chocolate cupcake? I am equally sad about this FUN, PERFECT FOR BIRTHDAY CARD Designer Series Paper, Sweet Always, being retired. And yes, the paper is already sold out too. I will sure miss this set and the paper. It made it simple to create fun and funky birthday cards. The set is of course still available until June 3oth.

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!

So Long to Heartfelt Thanks

Yes, sad but true...Heartfelt Thanks is one of those beloved stamp sets that is being retired with this catalog. It's been very popular, and I have to say, I am a bit surprised to see it go. It's a classic...an oldie but a goodie.

I feel like I did back when Roses in Winter retired (yes, I get attached to my stamps. I know...I have issues). But seriously...what other set has over 6,800 samples on Splitcoast Stampers? Well, Roses in Winter does. But that is besides the point.

Here is a great, simple card we made at my Retirement Stamp Camp last weekend.

The Bella Rose paper is also being retired (but that is already sold out), as is this greeting set, Elegant Greetings.

So, if you want to see how great this set is, click on this Heartfelt Thanks link, and it will take you over to Splitcoast so you can check out the thousands of gorgeous samples.

And then when you decide you have to have this set before it's gone for good (order by June 30th) just come on back here and click this SHOP NOW link at the top of my blog. :)

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by...

My sweet Bella Girl

Ok, I hope I am not turning into one of those people who shows pictures of their pets ALL the time, and in your head you are thinking "just shoot me" because you really don't care to see pictures of my dog.

But...I can't really help it...because she is SO cute. And I love her. A lot.

She is such a good puppy. Now, I will admit the first few days I was not sure that this was such a wise decision. But the poor thing just left her mommy and she was sad.

But now she has me, and she is happy. :-)

So, we have had a few bumps in the road here and there. Like last week Ed didn't realize she could climb the stairs so easily. So, he gets up in the morning to let her out. Then lets her wander around the house while he is showering. Well, he couldn't find her downstairs...
she was up in Emily's room chomping on a crayon. So later in the day I called Ed verify the color of the crayon. Apparently she must have eaten more than one, because the doggie poo was orange AND blue.

And her favorite place to poo in the house (if you don't get her out in time) happens to be my stamp room (no worries, I have cleaned and disinfected numerous times). I suggested that Ed gate her in the kitchen while he showers so she doesn't do that. Well, it's a new routine for all, and he didn't gate her in the next day...and as you might have guessed, I woke up to yet another poo pile. I don't know who's harder to train, the dog or the hubby. :)

Anyway, the crate training is getting better (I think). She still barks and cries at night, but we are adjusting. It doesn't last as long, and we all wear our iPods to bed. :)
Here is one more pic of my sweet girl:

Thanks for stopping by! Come over to visit, we love company!

Welcome Home, Bella!

On Saturday we went to pick up our new gal, Bella. She is so cute! The kids are in love with her already!

The first night was rough, she literally barked and cried ALL night! I thought to myself "what the hell did I just do by getting a puppy?!" But each night is getting better and better. She just has to get used to her new home. The last few nights have been good, and she has slept in her crate all night, no accidents, little barking. So, she is definately a keeper!

Here are a few pictures of the journey home:

Please stop by for a visit to see our new girl. She loves the attention and company!
Oh, and she has already pooped in my stamp room, so I guess that means she is here to stay!
Have a great day!
