Welcome to another edition of MDS Blog Hop Friday! This weeks theme is to use a Designer Template! I hope I followed instructions correctly! LOL. It's late when I am posting this, and I am not my sharpest at this hour. :)
One of the BEST things about MDS is the Designer Templates! If you are new to MDS, this is the fastest way to build a page or album. All the work is done for you by Stampin' Up! All you have to do is drop your pictures in! And of course, any of the elements on a Designer Template can be altered, changed, or even deleted if you don't like it.
I started with one of the templates called Hip and Handsome Overlays. This is a 12x12 Designer Template. Here is what it looks like.
It's a FUN bright template, but not my cup of tea for the picture I wanted to use.
I changed the paper and added some different elements. Here is the same template with my changes.
My page uses the new download kit, Twitterpatted. Love this kit and it's gorgeous papers! So fresh and springy! I added a vintage overlay stamp in Soft Suede (notice the sponged look around the edges?). It is a quick and easy way to get the sponged look digitally. Now the page has a vintage feel and matches the tone of the sepia in the photograph.
I added some buttons and stitching in the coordinating colors (also part of the Twitterpatted Digital Kit) and some stitching. Honestly, it took me about 15 minutes on this page. I thought about adding more elements, but I love the picture and wanted it to be the focus. So I left it alone.
Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you continue on the Blog Hop to see what the other ladies have in store for you this week.
