Snow...really?

Well, it is snowing like crazy here in CT. I won't complain, because really, who wants to hear one more person whine about the weather? It is what it is.

I do love Snow Days though...because it's 2 PM and I am still in my pajamas! :) I stamped quite a bit this morning, working on my November Christmas Club Cards and also making samples up for our Holiday Stamp A Stack!

So let me share a Holiday Card with you. It's quite simple, but I think that is what I love about it!

See? Simple, right? It Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Cardstock. I used the Snowflake Punch in the top layer of the Crumb Cake, and adhered a piece of whisper white behind it. The I used the fabulous Silver Glimmer Paper and the Northern Flurry Die Cut for the Big Shot and cut out snowflakes....
I adhered one right in the center of the White Snowflake and added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel to the Center. It's so sparkly in person. :) Love sparkly!

I used some White Bakers Twine to tie it up in a bow, and stamped the greeting (from the set Word Play) in Early Espresso. Then sponged Whisper White ink around the edges to make it look snowy.
Love snowy....and sparkly. Snowy and Sparkly....good.

Hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

MDS Blog Hop Friday

Welcome Back! I love this weeks theme...Christmas Cards!
Honestly, making my own photo cards was one of the things that first attracted me to MDS. It is so expensive going to a studio, and having them make them for you.
I take my own picture, and create something beautiful and unique on MDS.
And as a bonus, Stampin' Up! has offered lower bulk print pricing just in time for the holidays! Make sure to update your MDS Software the next time you use it, and the updated pricing will be reflected.

Here are a few Christmas Photo Cards that I made this week...

This first one is actually a picture we had taken last year when we were vacationing at the Cape.
We haven't gotten around to taking this years picture yet. :)

I started with a blank postcard template in MDS, and used Pear Pizzazz Cardstock. Then I added the Dot Dot Dot stamp on top of it, and changed the color to white. Cool, huh? I made my own DSP! Love that I can do that!

Then I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to the bottom, and layered the Brocade stamp on top of it. I changed the color to white, and brought the opacity down quite a bit.

A simple White Grosgrain Ribbon lies across the middle. I added the Perfect Layer punch, and filled it with Chocolate Chip cardstock and added a white mat around it. Then I just dropped my greeting inside it. Super easy! I just then added a text box, and signed our names.

Well, of course I had to make a second one, because Bella wasn't in the picture with us. And she is a HUGE part of our family. So, here is a Bella card! :)

On this card, I started with Soft Suede Cardstock. I layered the Parlor Prints background stamp on top of it, and changed the color to white, again bringing down the opacity so it looks more like a watermark.
I then just added in my picture and added a second box underneath it (by inserting a square punch). I filled the color with Cherry Cobbler and added my greetings. Super easy! I used Lots of Tags shape #1 for the greeting. I filled it with Early Espresso and added a white mat around it.

Both of these greetings come from the Wishes and Greetings Digital Brush Set. It's FANTASTIC!
It has a lot of wonderful sentiments and greetings for the holidays.

Thanks for stopping by on the hop today! Make sure you continue along and check out what the other gals have done. They are super talented and I know you will get some more great ideas for your holiday cards!

Happy MDS Friday!

Well, I am sorry to say that the week just got away from me. I woke up this morning and thought "OMG! It's Friday and I didn't do a MDS project!"

So please accept my apologies - and make sure to continue on the hop to see what the other members of the team have for you this week!

Simple Snowflake

Here is a simple but pretty Christmas Card. I love how clean it is, and so easy you could mass produce these in a heartbeat.

The card base is Whisper White. The crumb cake layer was sponged in Whisper White ink on the edges...makes it look snowy. :) The snowflake is die cut from the Northern Frost Die Cut using our Silver Glimmer paper. I added a white button to the middle and some white bakers twine for the bow.

I stamped the greeting in Basic Black ink. Sorry I realized after I stamped it that the greeting is retired! But you could easily use something else. Peace on Earth would work really well on this card too.

Minimal supplies, and maximum adorable.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great week!

Christmas Keepsake Box Class!

MDS Blog Hop Friday!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a great week!
Friday is upon us once again, and it't time for another edition of My Digital Studio Blog Hop!

It was my turn to pick the theme this week, and I picked Gratitude or Thanksgiving.
It's a perfect time of the year to start counting our blessings, although I try to remember to do it daily. :)

I decided to make a Gratitude Journal.
MDS added an AWESOME journal to the program earlier this year.
I had one printed for my daily activities and work, and I LOVE it! It is hard bound, and has beautiful lined paper. It's gorgeous and I get a lot of compliments on it.

Here is the one I made for this week:

Yep, I added my people to the cover because they are what I am most thankful for. And I came across this wonderful saying on Pintrest (which I am totally, and shamefully addicted to). I LOVE it. It's a good reminder for us all. Sometimes we get so caught up always wanting more. It's good to be thankful for what we DO have. :)

I encourage you to check out the journal templates on MDS. You can choose one of the pre-designed ones, or make one as unique as you are! :) They make an AWESOME gift. Who wouldn't LOVE a personalized journal? Teenage girls in particular would be digging it! LOL

Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to visit the other super de-duper talented ladies on our blog hop!

MDS FRIDAY BLOG HOP!

Welcome to another edition of the MDS Blog Hop! This weeks theme is SO SUPER FUN!
It's all about Halloween Parties this week....this could be invitations, labels for foods, games, costumes...and on and on ....

We have had neighborhood Halloween parties every year in my hood...and I when I have hosted (we take turns) I like to play GAMES and have a fun things for the kids.

Well, imagine my DELIGHT when MDS issued the BINGO Stamp Digitally....and it's perfect coordinating partner Spooky Bingo Bits (and for Christmas there is Jolly Bingo Bits...so you can really get A LOT of mileage out of this Bingo Card!)

So here is the Bingo Cards I have made for Halloween...super fun activity for school too!

I LOVE that the Bingo Card has 24 spaces and the Spooky Bingo Bits comes with 24 ideal images! Coinsidence? I think NOT! Stampin' Up! designs their products to work together perfectly. And this is just another example.

Now all I have to do is rearrange the images to different spaces (to make the cards different) and print them on Whisper White Cardstock. I backed them with their coordinating Cardstock colors. And then I used my 1" circle punch to pop out the bingo "chips". FUN!

And one of the newer downloads is the Spook Central Kit. Check out all that you get in this kit!

You get Designer Paper, Stamp Sets, Invitations, and even pre designer cards! How fun! I used this kit to create my invitation!

I had such a great time playing with all these fun new downloads! Now don't forget to HOP on to the next stop and check out all the spooky inspiration these amazing designers have for you this week!

Have a wonderful weekend!
