MDS Blog Hop Friday!

Hello Friends,

Another Friday is upon us and that means another edition of MDS Blog Hop Friday! This weeks challenge was Mothers. I didn't really make a mothers page though, as there was some discussion about changing the theme.

So in any case, I made a page about Bella. Shocking! I make a TON of pages about my dog! Crazy, right? She is my go to subject when I don't have any pictures easily accessible that I want to scrap. Oh, I have a ton alright, but am I organized enough to find them? NOOOO.

Anyway, Bella went to the groomer this week, and came back looking so pretty! All soft and fluffy and smelling good. And they even gave her a Hello Kitty bandana! :)

Here is my page:

So I guess if you wanted to be technical, you COULD say this was a page about Mothers. LOL. Cause she is my baby. :)
Thanks for putting up with my excessive scrapping of her!

Be sure to continue down the Blog path to see what the other fabulous ladies have in store for you this week!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday, Bella!

Our baby turned one today! We had a family party complete with party hats and Frosty Paws Ice Cream! Here are a few pictures of our birthday girl!

After the Frosty Paws we went to the school playground and ran around. Here are a few pics of the kids and Bella.

Thanks for listening to me talk about my dog. I know some people think we are nuts for treating her like such a part of the family. But we love her and couldn't imagine life without her. Even when she eats my stamps.

Have a great day!

Terri :)

Mad about Medallion

I haven't used Medallion in awhile. I don't know why...it's such an awesome stamp and you can do so many COOL techniques with it. Embossing and Poppin' Pastels are two that I played around with yesterday.

This is a card we made at my Stamp Club Weds. night. It's a pretty straight forward card - but it truly is gorgeous. It's Very Vanilla and Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped Medallion with Versamark ink, and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I then sponged over the image with Sahara Sand ink. I added a pearl to the center from the Pretties Kit, and added a Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon. I think it looks elegant! :) It could also make a nice Anniversary or Mother's Day Card. The gals all loved it.

Now, this card is a bit softer, and uses our chalks, Stampin' Pastels. I haven't pulled these out in a long time, and I don't know why! LOL. They are so much FUN to play with! :)

This card uses Pretty in Pink and Whisper White Cardstock. I inked the stamp in Versamark ink and stamped on the Whisper White Cardstock. I then used our sponge daubers with the chalks to "pop" out the color (thus the name Poppin' Pastels). You really have a lot of control over the shading with chalks. I wanted this to be soft, so I daubed very lightly with the chalks.

I stamped the Medallion a second time on scrap white, and went a little heavier on the chalks, for a darker look. I then punch out the center with the Scallop Circle Punch. I added a Rhinestone Brad (also from the Pretties Kit) to the center with a little flower. I then popped it up on the original image with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The ribbon is the White Satin Ribbon from the Mini Catalog, and just a small piece of Pretty in Pink Taffeta to coordinate with the cardstock.

The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I use that set ALL THE TIME! It has 24 greetings in that set and they cover everything from Christmas to retirement. It's a great, versatile set that I reach for over and over. And as a bonus, the greetings fit nicely inside the Word Window and Modern Label Punches.

And before I leave you, here is Bella and my honey looking out at the rain. Ed loves this dog....and he didn't even want to get a dog. He can frequently be seen laying on the floor with Bella, hugging her. :)

So, thanks for stopping by on this rainy, dreary day....
Now, go stamp something! :)

New Bella Pictures

It's been a long time since I shared any pictures of my baby, Bella! Let me just say, she is growing like a weed! It's unreal! She weighs over 40 lbs now. She gained 13 lbs. this past month alone! No more little puppy. :*(

Here are a few that I took the other day with Emily and Jacob.

Doesn't it look like she is smiling? I swear, she truly does smile. :)

She is our big baby...even though she weighs 40 lbs. Emily still holds her. She loves it, too.
She is such a great dog, and we are completely smitten with her.
She is now sleeping in bed with me and Ed. We tried to get her sleeping with Emily or Jacob, but she just barked to come into our room. If I am reading to Jacob, or not going to bed yet, she whines until I climb into bed. She just loves her Mommy. :)
Thanks for checking out my new pictures! Have a great day!

My sweet Bella Girl

Ok, I hope I am not turning into one of those people who shows pictures of their pets ALL the time, and in your head you are thinking "just shoot me" because you really don't care to see pictures of my dog.

But...I can't really help it...because she is SO cute. And I love her. A lot.

She is such a good puppy. Now, I will admit the first few days I was not sure that this was such a wise decision. But the poor thing just left her mommy and she was sad.

But now she has me, and she is happy. :-)

So, we have had a few bumps in the road here and there. Like last week Ed didn't realize she could climb the stairs so easily. So, he gets up in the morning to let her out. Then lets her wander around the house while he is showering. Well, he couldn't find her downstairs...
she was up in Emily's room chomping on a crayon. So later in the day I called Ed verify the color of the crayon. Apparently she must have eaten more than one, because the doggie poo was orange AND blue.

And her favorite place to poo in the house (if you don't get her out in time) happens to be my stamp room (no worries, I have cleaned and disinfected numerous times). I suggested that Ed gate her in the kitchen while he showers so she doesn't do that. Well, it's a new routine for all, and he didn't gate her in the next day...and as you might have guessed, I woke up to yet another poo pile. I don't know who's harder to train, the dog or the hubby. :)

Anyway, the crate training is getting better (I think). She still barks and cries at night, but we are adjusting. It doesn't last as long, and we all wear our iPods to bed. :)
Here is one more pic of my sweet girl:

Thanks for stopping by! Come over to visit, we love company!

Welcome Home, Bella!

On Saturday we went to pick up our new gal, Bella. She is so cute! The kids are in love with her already!

The first night was rough, she literally barked and cried ALL night! I thought to myself "what the hell did I just do by getting a puppy?!" But each night is getting better and better. She just has to get used to her new home. The last few nights have been good, and she has slept in her crate all night, no accidents, little barking. So, she is definately a keeper!

Here are a few pictures of the journey home:

Please stop by for a visit to see our new girl. She loves the attention and company!
Oh, and she has already pooped in my stamp room, so I guess that means she is here to stay!
Have a great day!

Our girl, Bella

We just received this picture of Bella from the breeder. She is now 7 weeks! Look how cute and fluffy she is! We are very excited to get her! I love how he sends me pictures every few weeks so we can see how she has grown.

While Emily, Jacob and I are all very excited, Ed hasn't said too much. He seems a little on the aprehensive side (probably because he thinks he will be the one walking her everyday). But since I have a great job where I get to work from home, I am excited to have her with me (until she chews a stamp set or some paper, that is). LOL.
Thanks for stopping by!
