I like to make a handstamped gift for my hostesses. Sure, they get many wonderful rewards from Stampin' Up! for hosting, but I want to show my appreciation, so I like to take the time to make them something special.
Here is what I came up with for today.
This is a card portfolio - when you untie and open, holds 4 stamped cards and the matching envelopes on the inside.
Here is a peek at the inside.
I used Vintage Vogue to stamp the outside of the portfolio. The inside uses the Great Friend Stamp Set. I also used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die to cut and emboss some awesome butterflies on her cards. The cardstock colors are Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. I tied it together with the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper (my fav! It's gorgeous!) and the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon.
I am looking forward to a fun afternoon of stampin' with these gals today. I hope she likes her gift!
Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

This card uses Pretty in Pink and Whisper White Cardstock. I inked the stamp in Versamark ink and stamped on the Whisper White Cardstock. I then used our sponge daubers with the chalks to "pop" out the color (thus the name Poppin' Pastels). You really have a lot of control over the shading with chalks. I wanted this to be soft, so I daubed very lightly with the chalks.
I stamped the Medallion a second time on scrap white, and went a little heavier on the chalks, for a darker look. I then punch out the center with the Scallop Circle Punch. I added a Rhinestone Brad (also from the Pretties Kit) to the center with a little flower. I then popped it up on the original image with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The ribbon is the White Satin Ribbon from the Mini Catalog, and just a small piece of Pretty in Pink Taffeta to coordinate with the cardstock.
The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I use that set ALL THE TIME! It has 24 greetings in that set and they cover everything from Christmas to retirement. It's a great, versatile set that I reach for over and over. And as a bonus, the greetings fit nicely inside the Word Window and Modern Label Punches.
And before I leave you, here is Bella and my honey looking out at the rain. Ed loves this dog....and he didn't even want to get a dog. He can frequently be seen laying on the floor with Bella, hugging her. :)
So, thanks for stopping by on this rainy, dreary day....
Now, go stamp something! :)

I am participating in a Demonstrator Swap for this stamp set. We all have to make a certain number of cards (one style). We send them in to the person hosting the swap, and she sends them back to you in a week or so. What you get back is one of each persons card. We have to make 35 cards, so I am excited that I will get back 35 different cards!
Here is what I came up with for my swap card:
I only used Basic Black and Very Vanilla Cardstock. Not sure if you can tell, but I dry embossed the top 1/2 of the vanilla piece with the Finial Press Embossing Folder for the Big Shot. The ribbon is the Basic Black 1- 1/4" Stripped Grosgrain, with a black satin bow. The main image is stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. 2 black brads finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are all having a great week!
I am off to finish up these 35 cards! :)

I kept all the cards simple today since they are stamping so many of them. This one uses Kraft and Soft Suede Cardstock. We used Versamark and Soft Suede ink, and the eyelet border punch. The Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon finishes it off nicely. I just love how all SU products coordinate...makes things so easy!

I am so excited to bring you this class! When I was in Phoenix last month for Leadership, I saw this gorgeous project that another demonstrator had made, and I fell in LOVE with it. It is so beautiful and elegant. I love that Stampin' Up! demonstrators always share their ideas, and so now I can bring this class to you!
We will use the Guest Book Simply Scrappin' Kit to make this beautiful box and 9 full size cards, and 4 love note cards with envelopes. This kit is the Wedding Kit, but as you can see, it makes gorgeous cards for almost any occasion.
Date(s): Friday, April 2nd or Friday, April 9th
Time: 7:00 PM
You will receive 1/2 of a Guest Book Simply Scrappin' Kit, black and white satin ribbon, envelopes and all other material to complete the project.
Please bring adhesive, bone folder (if you have one) and scissors.
Each class is limited to 6 people. Please email me to reserve your space. Pre payment is required.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Here are a few pictures for you:
This is Olivia and her sister Laura who came to class with Mom, Amy. I just adore these girls! Look how cute they are! They both did AMAZING at their crafts!
This is Abbi and Mom, Lori. Aren't they adorable? Do you know they brought me flowers? How sweet is that? Lori was secretly having as much (maybe more) fun than Abbi. LOL. I told her I do adult classes too, so she should come back and stamp with me!
This is Loren and Mom, Crissy. They hadn't done any stamping or crafting before, but you would never know it! They did awesome at all of their projects! Loren was so adorable with her High School Musical Bear, Sara. Just love this kid!
They all brought their Build A Bear with them. I took a picture of each child and their bear and printed it off when they were making their projects. We used the picture on the scrapbook page they made today, so they went home with their page complete!
While they had fun stamping, I think they loved the snack best! I made chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting and Build A Bear Picks for the center. They were really cute! :0)
I had to actually make 2 batches, as Bella ate the first batch before they even made it into the oven. She ate the batter, and the foil cupcake liners. Yep, had to make her throw those up and start all over. LOL. Gotta love my dog. :)
Many people who wanted to come this week were on vacation. So, I will be holding another Mom and Me Class in March or April. I hope you can make it then. It was a really fun afternoon.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are all having a great week!

This class will use the Dots and Designs Rub-On's and a few of the FREE Sale-A-Bration sets that are being offered this year. You will make the box, and 6 coordinating cards w/ envelopes.
Take a look at how awesome these are!
This is the box. We are using Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock, along with Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon for the handle.
These are the 6 cards and the box together. Can you believe that the only stamping on this project is the greetings? Everything else is a rub on! Very cool!
Here is the info on the class:

COST: $20.00 (includes a full pack of Rub-on's - you will have a full sheet left over to make more cards at home!)
